About the watch & condition:

Here we have a beautiful Rolex Datejust from 1979. This has the engine turned bezel and has been well looked after and is in excellent shape. It comes with some provenience along with an inner & outer Rolex box however the guarantee papers are a faded photocopy. The watch runs perfectly and is powered by a calibre 3035 automatic Rolex movement. When tested it was within around 5 seconds over 24 hours.

The watch has a lovely silver coloured dial. Paired with the matching hands & indexes it’s a great looking watch. Condition wise the dial is near on flawless bar some microscopic specs. It’s protected by a nice acrylic crystal which is equally in excellent shape, it has some light marks but nothing notable at all while wearing.

The watch is housed in a nice stainless steel oyster case with the engine turned bezel. It’s an amazing looking watch especially on the wrist.

There’s some minor light scratches to both the case & bracelet but both looks exceptional. They’ve both been polished previously as supported in the service history but this was professionally done! Considering the watch 46 years old it looks amazing!

It has its original Rolex branded screwdown crown which looks stunning & works/winds absolutely fine. The date on this model is quickset which is always a bonus!

The watch is sat on its original steel Rolex Jubilee bracelet. It’s a great size & is in excellent condition as shown with minimal flex & marks. Usually these are much more worn!

This is an automatic watch meaning it runs off the movement of your wrist. It can also be manually wound as all automatic watch can be. The watch has a small power reserve however if left for a period of time it will have likely stopped.

This comes with an Inner & Outer Rolex box along with the Rolex papers sleeve which contains the translation papers plus the Oyster Manual. It also has both original swing Tags one which displays the serial. There’s a photocopied version of the original guarantee papers from its sale in 1979, the serial is visible however is extremely faint unfortunately. It also comes with a service receipt dated 2009 carried out by the original owner & a sales/authenticity certificate dated 2010. We’ve also included a recent watch register check.
