About the watch & condition:
Here we have a stunning Rolex Oyster Perpetual dated 1969. This watch is superb & looks beautiful on the wrist as shown.
We’ve just had the watch serviced and is running nice & smoothly within around 20 seconds over 24 hours! More details below;
The watch has a gorgeous grey coloured dial with silver indexes & hands. It’s a very smart looking dial especially when it’s on the wrist! Condition wise it’s practically flawless, looks to have been kept away in a safe for multiple years. Definitely doesn’t look to have had much use.
The Crystal is nice & clean and gives you a nice view of the dial below! There’s a small spec on the underside of the Crystal but this can be cleaned off if the Crystal is removed.
The dial & movement is housed in a beautiful stainless steel case. There’s some light scratches which you’d expect on any pre owned vintage watch but nothing major whatsoever. As shown on the caseback it’s been engraved so was likely given as a gift many years ago!
It still has its original Rolex branded screwdown crown which looks stunning & works absolutely fine.
The watch is sat on a nice Rolex branded bracelet which will fit a wrist of 7 1/4 inches or smaller. It’s a Rolex bracelet 78350 19mm with 557 end links. The bracelet is in wonderful condition.
It shuts perfectly with no problems at all. Similarly to the case there’s some light scratches but again this is to be expected of any 50+ year old watch.
This is an automatic watch meaning it runs off the movement of your wrist. It can also be manually wound as all automatic watch can be. The watch has a small power reserve however if left for a period of time it will have likely stopped.
Overall it’s a lovely example, no box or papers unfortunately but this is common of a watch of this age.
