1972 Omega Speedmaster Mark II 145.014 Manual Wind Cal.861 Vintage Watch

Here we have a beautiful Mark II Omega Speedmaster dated 1972. The watch is a very clean  example bar a small engraving on the caseback. The watch is powered by a calibre 861 manual wind movement which is running smoothly. When tested over 24 hours the watch was within 15 seconds.

This watch has a gorgeous looking dial in the famous Speedmaster style with the 3 sub dials. The first displays the small seconds (upper left), minutes (upper right), hours at the bottom & finally your chronograph centre seconds hand.

Condition wise the dial is flawless and is protected by a nice clean crystal.

The stainless steel case looks great and has the famous Speedmaster seahorse on the caseback. Condition wise there’s some general wear as expected with typical light scratches but nothing you wouldn’t expect from a watch over 50 years old! There is an engraving on the caseback ‘Sanders’ which looks like it was done by the original owner.

The crown works and winds perfectly along with the chronograph pushers.

It’s sat on its original Omega 1162 bracelet with 173 end links which will fit a wrist sized 8 inches or smaller. The bracelet is worth £400/500 on its own. It suits the watch perfectly and works completely fine! It’s in good condition, there’s some light scratches as shown but again this is to be expected on pre owned vintage watches.

This watch has a manual wind mechanical movement, this means it needs to be wound for it to work. Please know this when buying!
